I'thousand sure you could call them and they would help you lot out Last edited past Fishgutz; 05/04/13 02:10 PM. | Re: Registering Kayak with Trolling Motor [Re: Surferguyrob] #8896965 05/04/thirteen 02:16 PM | Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: three,912 Bass Fine art TFF Team Angler | TFF Squad Angler Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: three,912 | In that location are 3 documents you need. I can't remember the doc numbers, but you can call TPWD and they will give y'all the doc #due south. You lot tin impress them out from the website. I of them has a place on it for doing a pencil trace of the serial number of the kayak. And that is all you need. I'm getting ready to register my Commander 140 that I only put a TM on. Having the kayak titled is a practiced thing in my stance. It will cost you nigh $59 for the first two years, and then almost $36/two years after that. I had a bill of auction (the invoice from the dealer); and I had the brand new MSO...(which IMHO every yak possessor out to get because some day you lot or a future possessor might want to add a trolling motor onto the yak) .. The upshot that I ran into when I went to register my slightly over ONE MONTH onetime RIDE, was paying the sales tax. Since I bought it from an out of State dealer, no sales taxation was charged. I had to pay the sales tax, in addition to the other registration fees...AND...I had to pay a Tardily FEE (because I didn't register information technology immediately upon buy.) I also had to pay interest on the late payment! The interest was only a few pennies, but if it had been a couple of years after my original purchase, the tardily fees and involvement might have been substantial. If you recently purchased your yak and accept a bill of sale; and the MSO..you may be able to make full out the forms at the TPWD office, as I did. In fact, the young lady filled them in for me. rich p.south. If the yak had been previously registered, then the MSO is not needed, since information technology was provided on the original registration. | Re: Registering Kayak with Trolling Motor [Re: Surferguyrob] #8898676 05/05/13 03:21 AM | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 2,551 R Eastward N Farthermost Angler | Extreme Angler Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 2,551 | When I got my canoe registered & titled to put on a TM, all they asked for was an original beak of sale (receipt) if y'all had one or an MSO plus serial number. At that place were no forms to fill up out. The only question I was asked was why I am registering my canoe at present & I just told them I was putting a TM on my canoe & that was it. Paid my $80 & I was good to get. | Moderated by banker-always fishing, chickenman, Derek 🐝, Duck_Hunter, Fish Killer, J-2, Jacob, Jons3825, Nocona Brian, Rockie Martin, Toon-Troller, Uncle Zeek, Weekender1 | |
